Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (JAC Motors) stands out as a comprehensive enterprise that seamlessly integrates research and development, production, and sales across a spectrum of commercial and passenger vehicles.

JAC Group traces its roots back to 1964 when it was established as the Hefei Jianghuai Automobile Factory. Over the years, it has undergone significant transformations, evolving into a major player in the Chinese automotive industry with a strong global presence that extends into Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. In 1997, the company adopted its current name, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd (JAC).
Driving Innovation Through Research and Development
Initially, JAC was primarily known for producing commercial trucks under the brand name Jianghu. Over the years, the company has expanded its portfolio to include heavy, medium, light, and mini trucks, multi-functional commercial vehicles, MPVs, SUVs, passenger cars, buses, coaches, special-purposed chassis, gearboxes, engines, axles, and other core components.
JAC Motors has invested in a high-level R&D team of nearly 5,000 individuals, focusing on key technology routes such as energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, safety, intelligence, network connectivity, and comfort. Notably, it has made significant strides in developing and promoting new energy vehicles. By the end of 2022, JAC had demonstrated and promoted over 200,000 new energy vehicles, covering an impressive total mileage of 8 billion kilometres.
Global Reach and Collaborations
Partnerships with industry giants like Volkswagen of Germany, Cummins Engine, and Santander Bank of Spain further highlight the company’s global ambitions. JAC Motors has built cooperative relationships with more than 130 countries and regions across South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
The company owns an overseas R&D centre in Italy, subsidiaries in Vietnam, and 19 international industrial bases in locations such as Mexico and Kazakhstan. The strategic acquisition of Kazakhstan’s largest automobile industry group, Allur Group, positions JAC Motors at the forefront of the internationalization strategy, particularly in the Central Asian market.
Noteworthy achievements include being China’s largest bus chassis producer for 18 consecutive years and dominating light commercial vehicle export sales for an impressive 11 years. JAC Motors has also made significant strides in the global market, claiming the No.1 spot in Brazil among Chinese auto brands and securing the No.2 position among all exported brands. As the automotive landscape evolves, JAC remains committed to shaping the future of mobility and delivering quality vehicles to its global customers.
