In 2025, JAC Motors achieved a global ranking of 28, improving by three positions compared to 2024, when it ranked 31st. Within the automotive sector, the brand now sits 5th among Chinese auto brands, up from 6th the previous year.

These rankings underscore JAC’s increasing brand strength and recognition on the global stage, particularly in emerging and Latin American markets.

The BrandZ report evaluates hundreds of Chinese brands across multiple categories and regions, considering factors such as brand equity, customer perception, and market influence. JAC’s improved position demonstrates growing confidence in its products, from light trucks and commercial vehicles to innovative electric models.

Success In Global Markets

JAC Motors’ international footprint spans over 130 countries and regions across Asia, Africa and Latin America. In 2021, the company exported nearly 100,000 vehicles, and it has consistently maintained strong sales in key markets:

  • Chile and Peru: JAC light trucks have led sales among Chinese auto brands for over a decade. Uruguay: JAC has dominated the light truck market for eight consecutive years.
  • Mexico: JAC accounts for over 60% of the country’s electric vehicle market, with the high-end JAC IC5 marking the largest single EV order for a Chinese auto brand.

This global growth is mirrored locally. JAC Motors South Africa recently reported more than double its sales volume year-over-year, supported by a network of 60 dealerships across South Africa, Namibia and Eswatini.

CEO Karl-Heinz Göbel highlighted that the brand’s international reputation directly contributes to stronger local confidence and sales performance.

“The Brand’s global growth and successes are good news for JAC Motors South Africa. Over the last year, the JAC Motors brand showed tremendous local growth, recording more than double our sales volume year-over-year,” said Göbel.
